Kailyn Lowry has always been confident about her body, but lately, she’s been struggling with her weight.
The mother of four recently opened up about her struggles with weight loss and trying to stay fit. Although she’s had trouble trying to keep weight off naturally, Kailyn wasn’t opposed to seeking a surgical option to give her the boost she needed.
In a recent interview, Kailyn opened up about her journey with weight loss surgery and her biggest fears about doing something so drastic.
Kailyn Lowry has been trying to stay fit and lose weight recently, but it’s not always an easy journey. In a recent episode of Baby Mamas No Drama, Kailyn opened up to her guest host, Toni, about how hard it has been.
“Weight loss surgery or not… I feel like when I don’t feel my best, I don’t even try to look good,” Kailyn revealed on her podcast. “There were multiple seasons of the show where I literally rolled out of bed…When you just don’t feel your best you just don’t want to get ready.”
She added that she needs to lose weight, but she decided to stop prepping for weight loss surgery.
“I need to drop some serious weight. I stopped doing all my appointments for the weight loss surgery,” Kailyn explained.
“I don’t have enough hair to lose the hair that you’ve lost. You have so much hair that you could afford to lose some. I can’t. So I just can’t do it,” she said. “But I’ve also just not shown up to appointments. So I don’t think they would even consider me back if I wanted to.”
Kailyn added that regardless of which method she chooses, she needs to drop a few pounds for herself.
“I need to lose the weight, but I feel like you when you backed out the first time where you were like, I’ve got to do this on my own,” she continued. “I have a little double chin right here, but I’m going to work on it.”
Kailyn’s struggle with her weight really came into focus after she was diagnosed with PCOS.
“I got emotional about the weight gain aspect of it… I’m still in that overwhelmed state of mind,” Kailyn previously said on Coffee Convos. “I can’t get a grip on changing my diet because I don’t have an everyday routine.”
She added that she hasn’t necessarily been working as hard as she possibly could.
“I am struggling. I’d be lying if I said I got the diagnosis, and I started right away exactly what I needed to do because I do know what I need to do,” she said. “It’s not an issue of knowing what I need to do.”
But one thing Kailyn doesn’t want is any unsolicited advice, even if it is from those who are well-meaning and care for her.
“What is wrong with me that I can’t lose weight?” Kailyn said on a different episode. “That is where I get emotional. I’m trying, I’ve tried.”
