The 41-year-old rapper recently opened up about his highly publicized relationship with the Keeping Up with the Kardashians reality star. Though the two are arguably one of the most famous celebrity couples in the world, Kanye confessed he’s had serious doubts about the longevity of their romance.
According to him, he thought about divorce as recently as just a month and a half ago.
As fans can recall, Kanye made headlines in May when he appeared on TMZ Live to throw his support for President Donald Trump. While chatting about his unlikely fondness for the controversial politician, the “Famous” hitmaker shocking implied that slavery “was a choice” for the African-American community.
“When you hear about slavery for 400 years … For 400 years? That sounds like a choice,” he remarked. “You were there for 400 years and it’s all of y’all? It’s like we’re mentally imprisoned.”
As expected, the comment didn’t sit right with many people. TMZ staffer Van Lathan quickly confronted Kanye during the taping, arguing, “While you are making music and being an artist and living the life that you’ve earned by being a genius, the rest of us in society have to deal with these threats to our lives.”
