She's heading back to klass!
Kourtney Kardashian may be leaving her life in reality television. Though the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has enough money to let her live comfortably for the rest of her life, she just isn’t satisfied until she knows she can do something to make her late father proud. Following Robert Kardashian‘s footesteps, the mom-of-three is planning on enrolling into law school to fulfill her dad’s dream of seeing her become an attorney. It’ll be a long and tough journey to a degree, but Kourt is ready to take on the new challenge!
Contrary to popular belief, Kourtney Kardashian just isn’t a ditzy reality star who’s famous for having no talents. Being the only sister in the Keeping Up with the Kardashians clan to have sought out a post-secondary education, she actually holds a college degree.
Following her graduation from Marymount High School, the California-native moved to Dallas, Texas to attend Southern Methodist University for two years. She then relocated to Tucson to study at the University of Arizona, where she graduated in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts and a minor in Spanish.
“I applied to law school then decided not to go,” she revealed to Us Weekly in 2010, though she also noted she “failed two classes in college because I was too nervous to give speeches.”
Heading to Kourt
Now, it seems the 38-year-old wants to head back to school again! The mom-of-three plans to enroll in law school to honor the late Robert Kardashian, who famously defended O.J. Simpson as a part of the “dream team” in the athlete’s 1995 murder trial.
“She probably doesn’t have to work for the rest of her life, but that’s not how she rolls,” an insider told Radar Online. “She’s always wanted to go back to school and nearly signed up for another college degree last year.
According to the outlet, Kourtney previously tried to enroll but backed out at the last-minute due to family drama with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick. “She really wishes she had, but things were falling apart with her and Scott so she put it off,” a source said.
Now happily dating Younes Bendjima while co-parenting her kids with her ex, Kourtney is looking towards a brighter future — which may include pursuing a new career in law to fulfill her dad’s dream of seeing her as a lawyer.
“She’s very proud of her father’s achievements and she knows he always wanted her to be a lawyer,” an insider dished. “She’s already looking into doing a course online so she can still be around the kids.”
Last year, it was reported Kourtney wanted to get her masters in Spanish and looked at taking law classes online as a way to “slowly withdraw from the public eye.” A source at the time claimed the reality star “doesn’t want to rely on the family’s cash for her livelihood” and wanted “to stand on her own two feet and raise their three kids with a good role model mom.”
Top of the Klass
Should Kourtney head back to school, she’s sure to be the envy of her sisters. Previously, Kim Kardashian expressed an interest in stepping away from the spotlight to study at a university.
“If things slow down and I had time, I really want to go to law school,” Kim told Wonderland magazine last year. “Just something I can do in my older age.”
