Congratulations are in order, Glee alum Lea Michele is pregnant! The actress and her husband are expecting their first child together, and we could not be more excited.
The actress was previously concerned about not being able to conceive a child since she was struggling with a hormonal disorder, which makes this pregnancy even more special.
Lea Michele and her husband Zandy Reich got engaged in 2019 and married in March 2019. Now, almost a year after their wedding they are expecting their first child together!
Last year, the actress sat down with Celebuzz! and dished about the experience.
“I have a pretty Type A, organized brain, and I like to work really hard,” she said. “The whole wedding process for me was just really fun and incredible, and we had a beautiful wedding…I didn’t find the process overwhelming or anything.”
Lea also said that her career has helped her deal with juggling so many tasks at once. “Working on a show like Glee was incredibly challenging…one day we would be filming, the next minute you would be in the recording studio, and then the next minute you would be in the dance studio…it takes a lot for me to feel overwhelmed.”
Hopefully her ability to multi-task comes in handy with the new baby! A source exclusively confirmed the news, Page Six reports.
“They’ve always wanted to be parents,” the source initially reavealed to People.
The journey to pregnancy was not an easy one for Michele. In 2019, she opened up about suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome. She was forced to modify her lifestyle in order to manage the disorder since it can lead to infertility.
“I hope to be a mom of, like, 10 kids — if it’s physically possible to pop that many out!” she said to Health last year. ““I’m so excited about the thought of being a mom.”
