It’s no surprise that Maci Bookout and Ryan Edwards are not on good terms. Ryan and his family ended up getting fired from MTV because they have not been easy to work with, and their son, Bentley, has been having a lot of issues with his father.
Ryan and Mackenzie Edwards have blamed Maci for his strained relationship with his son, but Maci claims that it has everything to do with Ryan’s parenting.
In the new episode of Teen Mom OG, Maci accuses Ryan’s parents of ignoring Bentley’s emotions by lying about her and Taylor.
In a clip from the Teen Mom OG premiere, Maci discussed the argument she and Taylor got into with Ryan’s parents during the previous season’s reunion. She said they became frustrated with Jen and Larry when they started to tell lies.
“We didn’t appreciate that they lied…about us,” Maci said in the clip. “And they ignored Bentley’s feelings. Then, at the reunion, Taylor and Larry got into an argument over something that had been brewing for a while.”
During the reunion, Taylor told Ryan’s parents that their son “has never been there for him, but y’all put it on Bentley!”
This angered Larry, who lunged at Taylor.
In the clip, Maci told her fired Ashley that the reunion was a total “disaster.”
“Larry, like, his body language, his face and the way he was talking, like he was gritting his teeth, he was pointing his finger,” she said. “Like, Taylor didn’t do anything wrong.”
“No, when someone puts a finger in your face and stands up, he did what any husband would do,” Ashley replied.
Afterwards, Maci said she checked in on Bentley to make sure he wasn’t too upset over what happened and said he can talk to someone if he needs to.
Maci then let her feelings fly about Jen and Larry.
“And, I’m sorry, but Jen and Larry are grown a** people,” Maci said in the clip. “I don’t care if you don’t like me, I don’t care what you say, I don’t care whatever, but when you’re blatantly ignoring my child’s feelings, then I have a problem.”
Recently, Maci revealed that Bentley is not completely comfortable around his father.
“He’s only seen him a couple of times this year. To be quite honest, Ryan doesn’t show up to any baseball games or anything like that. It’s not shocking that he doesn’t see him that much,” Maci told Us Weekly.
She shared that Bentley “isn’t necessarily comfortable” talking with his father until they attend therapy together.
She shared that Ryan has only had “one or two” calls with the counselor and that it hasn’t “progressed beyond that.”
