Max Joseph may be leaving MTV’s Catfish, but the show must go on! Since the other long-time host, Nev Schulman, obviously can’t run the show alone, he’s starting to look at who could help him run the hit series — and there are certainly some wild cards in the bunch!
In the show Catfish, Nev Schulman and Max Joseph go undercover to help those who were dating online to find out if their virtual partners were real or not. While Max has been with the show since its first season, he had recently announced that he’ll be moving on to pursue filmmaking. Now, Nev is considering who is new co-host could be.
Nev recently talked to TMZ about who his dream co-host would be.
Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowery jokingly offered her services, and the show has had a variety of guest hosts in their time, including Charlamagne Tha God, Angel Haze, and Tyler Oakley — so bringing the mother of one on board wouldn’t be too out of the question, considering the show’s history.
While we would absolutely love to watch Cardi B host Catfish, we imagine that she has her hands full, being a new mom and all. The rapper gave birth just last month, on July 10. Named Kulture Kiari Cephus, Cardi has admitted that her firstborn has already been quite the handful.
On Instagram Live, the “Bodak Yellow” singer revealed that her baby is very “demanding.”
“I met my match,” Cardi said of her newborn. “I can’t believe I have a boss, like I really have a boss.”
She then touched on her decision to drop out of the 24K Magic World Tour with Bruno Mars, calling it “such a hard decision.” As tough as it was, Cardi shared that she can’t “leave [her] baby… not for one second.”
“I wanna be with my baby like every second. Even when I’m doing my hair in the other room, I just gotta be around her,” she said.
“I didn’t [think] that it would take so long for my body to heal. I thought six weeks was gonna be good enough… No bro… My a*s is broken,” she continued, laughing. “Kulture broke my a*s bro.”
Back in April, the rapper announced that she was going on a hiatus to have her child in peace.
“Because, you know, shawty keep growing,” a then-pregnant Cardi said.
“I wanna thank y’all for understanding,” she continued. “Thank you very much. I f**king love y’all motherf**kers.”
