Where in the world is Nicole Nafziger?
Right before the spread of Covid-19 caused numerous countries to close their borders, Nicole announced that she was taking a trip to see her fiancé Azan in Morocco.
But once Morocco closed their borders, she was apparently stuck in the country!
Needless to say, this resulted in a lot of mom-shaming — but now Nicole is clearing things up.
The mom-shaming started when Nicole shared a photo of her mom and thanked her for watching her daughter while she’s away.
“Missing my mom so much,” Nicole wrote on Instagram a few days ago. “She is the best mom and grandma out there. Thank you for taking care of my little girl since I can’t come back home yet.”
Unfortunately, many fans hopped on the post to criticize Nicole for not coming home to her family yet. Some of them pointed out that she stopped posting pictures of Azan, while others questioned her financial ability to purchase a ticket home.
“For all those saying she can’t come home she can,” commented one Instagram user. “If you’re American and need to get home there are limited flights out and the American govt is paying for the flight.”
Another user quickly corrected her, saying that the U.S. government will not cover the cost of a plane ticket. “Look it up, it cost approximately $1250 and it specifically says the passenger is responsible. Website is. Ma.usaembassy.gov/health-alert-july-15-speco” they replied.
Well, Nicole felt the need to reply to this comment as well! She corrected the original commenter on her misinformed attitude and explained why she was still in Morocco.
haha they’re paying for it? I’d like to know where they said that because every time I’ve looked into it, it’s 2x/3x the price of a normal flight that the passenger has to pay. Y’all think you’ve got it all figured out because of whatever you here [sic] but we’re [sic] you one of the people who had to actually email the government to see? Nope. Stop judging my like [sic] and decisions. Just an idea. I know you won’t listen because it’s easier to pin me as a bad mom and gossip about the drama. Soon enough y’all can take a peak [sic] into my real life. Maybe.
Now, Nicole’s own mother is chiming in.
