A knight in shinning armor!
When Cardi B was arrested early October the story waved through news outlets and social media. Though the star herself stayed quiet, a few others within the hip-hop community voiced their opinions on the 25-year-oldi’s behavior and subsequently the future of her career.
Industry commentator Joe Budden offered his take on his new podcast State of the Culture. Offset didn’t appreciate the host’s comments on his wife, and it took the rapper no time to clap back.
“Every time Cardi’s names comes up… I keep saying, because I care about her and because I love her, that she should move differently. Enjoy the Lambo truck, enjoy Offset, enjoy Atlanta, enjoy being the number one artist on Atlantic Records,” Joe Budden said. He also criticized her for posting rat emojis, saying “That’s snitching.”
“A rat emoji means what? […] When you InstaSnap a rat emoji, I know what you’re telling the fans… What are you telling the authorities?” he continued.
When a cohost said that she’s allowed to make mistakes, Budden vehemently disagreed. “You cannot be a megastar and send n***as to Angel,” he argued. “Because you’re gonna go to jail.”
Offset clearly didn’t approve, so the father-of-four took to Instagram to let his disdain be known. Underneath a clip of State of the Culture‘s latest episode, the Migos rapper commented, “I watched ya show u a grown a*s n***a speaking on women.”
“I seen u in Barnes and u ran like I was gone do sum to you lol,” he said, adding, “U a h*e a*s n***a soon u get touched u gone be police.”
Joe Budden has yet to respond.
