Post Malone is well known for his many tattoos — most famously the ones that cover his face. They’re SO famous, in fact, that you can buy them as a set of temporary tattoos online. But is the rapper about to lose his famous ink?
Mark Wahlberg, of all people, seems to be the primary source for this, revealing that he and Post Malone discussed that topic of their tattoos recently. The unlikely pair are working together on the upcoming film Spenser Confidential. The 48-year-old actor told James Corden about the conversation that took place, revealing that “maturity” and “sensibility” caused him to get his own tattoo removed.
Wahlberg started having his ink removed for his role in The Fighter, which came out in 2010, but admitted that it took him much longer than he originally suspected.
“It took me five years to get the tattoos removed and it’s dreadfully painful,” he said. “It’s like hot bacon grease getting flicked on you over and over and over again….I told Posty, it’s gonna be a lot of Bud Lights trying to get those things off you.”
“What did he say?” Corden asked.
“He says what every kid says, what I said when I got my tattoos. ‘Oh no, no, no, they all have meaning. I’m going to keep them forever.’ But then you realize, I’m pushing 40, I’ve gotta do something about this,” Wahlberg replied. Apparently, since they’ve talked, “he’s now since added more to his face.”
