The Royal Family has been in a sticky situation in the past few years following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s formal departure. Now, exactly what the Royals feared is happening: Meghan and Harry are opening up about what really happens within the family.
In a groundbreaking interview with Oprah, the couple opened up about the effect the Royalty have had on their mental health. Now, Prince Charles is laughing it off.
Since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry relocated to the United States, Meghan has been eager to use her voice to speak up for injustice, including a renewed passion for American politics.
She has spoken out on the murder of George Floyd and her personal experiences as a Black woman, and she has no plans of quieting down.
A source revealed that the Duchess is considering taking her activism to the polls. “Meghan said her work as a leader is more important than ever right now,” they revealed. “And that she’s been speaking with Oprah and other community leaders.”
But following the couple’s interview with Oprah, it seems that the Royal Family isn’t taking it seriously.
After the couple exposed the racism within the family and the country, Prince Charles appeared to find the entire situation amusing.
“Sir, what did you think of the interview?” a reporter asked the Royal as he appeared at a Covid-19 vaccination center in England.
It seemed that Charles, 72, was uncomfortable as he let out a “nervous chuckle’’ and continued walking after being asked.
It’s no wonder that Charles is shying away from the media, considering how much backlash some of his racially insensitive comments have received.
“Oh, fantastic, yes, I’ve been there,’’ Charles reportedly said to a Nigerian health care worker inside the pop-up center Jesus House in the city’s Brent Cross section. “Lots of different ethnic groups. Do give them my kind regards next time you speak to them.”
