After a dramatic last year, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jen Harley are back together!
Well, not exactly…but they’ve decided that they no longer need a restraining order against one another, so that’s a step forward! The two were seen out with their daughter, looking like one big happy family again.
Could they be on the path to reconciliation after all?
If you recall, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has been dealing with a lot lately. Last October, the Jersey Shore star was involved in an altercation with Jen Harley, which resulted in him being separated from his daughter.
Ron was arrested and charged with seven misdemeanors, which included domestic violence, child endangerment, criminal threats, brandishing a weapon, false imprisonment, and resisting arrest. He denied the allegations and plead not guilty in court.
Jen had an emergency protective order against Ronnie, which separated the reality star from his daughter. He was anxiously waiting to legally reunite with Ariana, and a few months ago he was able to see his daughter again!
Us Weekly confirmed that on Friday, May 1, Ronnie accepted a plea deal. He pleaded no contest to one count of domestic battery and resisting arrest. He was given 36 months’ probation and will serve 30 days of labor in Nevada. He was also ordered to pay $20,000 to a Los Angeles women’s shelter. He must abide by a three-year protection order and complete a year-long domestic violence program in Nevada.
Ronnie later shared his daddy-daughter day with Ariana, and it seemed like things were getting back to normal for the Jersey Shore star.
And now, it looks like he and Jen are putting the past behind them as well!
TMZ caught the family out on a walk in Huntington Beach.
According to the outlet’s sources, the couple is most definitely not getting back together, but they are having family outings with their daughter. It took a few months for Ronnie and Jen to get back to a place where they are able to co-parent peacefully, but they want to remain friends in order to keep the family strong.
The restraining order that Ronnie had against Jen was dissolved in May after they agreed it was no longer necessary.
