Queen radio should be interesting after this.
Cardi B’s claim that Nicki Minaj has been trying to “stop [her] bags” just got backed up by a Hollywood Unlocked reporter. According to Jason Lee, Minaj threatened Future, stopping his collab with Cardi on her track “Drip.”
“Future was [originally] on the track with Cardi,” Lee spilled during an episode of Hollywood Unlocked: Uncensored. “Migos jumped on because Future had to jump off.”
Apparently, Minaj told Future that she would drop him from their joint tour, NickiHndrxx. This is the same tour that was suffering so severely that the North American leg of the venture was postponed due to low ticket sales. According to Page Six‘s Live Nation source, “Nicki’s tour looked to be the most disappointing ticket sales of the year for any artist. She and Future were booked in big arenas with around 20,000 capacities.”
The insider went on to reveal that Baltimore’s opening night show sold only 2,000 tickets. Los Angele’s show — which was at a venue capable of holding 17,000 — sold 3,400 tickets. “Even Nicki’s hometown of Brooklyn, the Barclays Center (which has a capacity of 19,000) sold only 5,050 tickets,” the source added.
According to Live Nation’s statement, Nicki herself decided to postpone dates to “reevaluate elements of production.
“Following her unforgettable VMA performance, Nicki Minaj has decided to reevaluate elements of production on the NickiHndrxx Tour. … [and] to contribute more time to rehearsal ahead of the tour’s launch to make certain her fans get the absolute best quality show that they deserve.”
The truth, the snitch alleged, is that “Nicki’s tour ticket sales were not just in the toilet, they were totally down the drain. There was no way the tour could go forward.”
