The Vanderpump news starts coming and it don’t stop coming!
It was recently revealed that this Vanderpump Rules star was pregnant, and although they didn’t confirm the news themselves, they did just announce the gender of their expected child! We’re happy for them, and also a little skeptical about how they decided to share the news. It’s as if nothing bad has happened in the last few weeks…
In case you missed it, Stassi Schroeder is pregnant! News broke that the (now former) Vanderpump Rules star was pregnant around the same time she was fired from Bravo, and it looks like she’s ready to move on with her new family.
So to recap all the drama, Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired, along with two other Vanderpump Rules cast members, for racist comments and actions.
The week prior, their former co-worker Faith Stowers went on Instagram Live to chat with Candace Rice from Floribama Shore about the harassment she received from Stassi and Kristen.
“There was this article on Daily Mail where there was an African American lady. It was a weird photo, so she looked very light-skinned and had these different, weird tattoos. They showcased her, and I guess this woman was robbing people,” Faith recalled. “And they called the cops and said it was me. This is like, a true story. I heard this from actually Stassi during an interview.”
According to People, Stassi confirmed that she had called the cops on Faith in a 2018 interview. Kristen then tweeted a link to the story, writing, “hey tweeties, doesn’t this ex #pumprules thief look familiar? someone put her on mtv & gave her a platform for press. I didn’t wanna go there but I’m going there.”
Thankfully, Faith said their ploy didn’t work. “It was just funny, because [Schroeder and Doute] thought it was me because it was a Black woman with a weave,” she said. “So they just assumed it would be me, and they called the cops on me. It didn’t work, so they were upset about that.”
Stassi and Kristen then issued written apologies, addressing what they had done in the past.
“I also what to address my former castmate, Faith Stowers,” Stassi wrote in her extensive apology. “My emotions over something that happened between out friends outweighed my logic, and there is no excuse for that. I did not recognize then the serious ramifications that could have transpired because of my actions. What I did to Faith was wrong. I apologize and I do not expect forgiveness.”
“Although, my actions were not racially driven, I am now completely aware of how my privilege blinded me from the reality of law enforcement’s treatment of the black community, and how dangerous my actions could have been to her,” Kristen wrote. “It was never my intention to add to the injustice and imbalance. I’m ashamed, embarrassed, and incredibly sorry. I will do better. I have to do better.”
Variety then reported that the stars had been fired. “Bravo and Evolution Media confirmed today that Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni will not be returning to Vanderpump Rules,” Bravo’s statement read.
This firing comes one day after Stassi was fired from her agency, UTA, and PR firm, Metro Public Relations. Kristen’s book agency, Fuse Literary, has cut ties with her as well.
Bravo does not currently have a date to begin filming season 9 of the show, so that leaves them with plenty of time to re-vamp the cast. Stassi and Kristen are also taking this time to save what is left of their reputations. The two hired new PR teams and say they’re ready to “move forward” from the firing.
